Giovanni Battista Sciello, in arte "Gio Sciello" o semplicemente "Gio", nato a Genova il 2 febbraio 1961, ha da sempre la passione per la musica (è batterista dilettante, oltre ad aver studiato per un periodo composizione) e per la pittura. Ha svolto gli studi dell’obbligo, frequentando poi il liceo classico e la facoltà di giurisprudenza nella sua città natale e si è poi impiegato in uno studio notarile superando l’esame da avvocato e tentando di superare i concorsi notarili.

     E’ caratterizzato da una grande curiosità e dal desiderio di apprendere dal mondo e dai libri tutto ciò che può arricchire. Malinconico e un poco pessimista (o realista forse) è al tempo stesso convinto che tutto si risolverà ed è mentalmente aperto nel credere anche alle cose più fantastiche e fantasiose.

     Non ha un background in campo pittorico, lasciandosi guidare dal suo istinto e dall’estro del momento e, più di ogni altra cosa, dall’ “aurea” che insieme alla materia compone e pervade il nostro essere e l’universo intero.

     Ha due figli che adora ed una compagna di grande stimolo e di cui non potrebbe fare a meno. Inoltre riempiono la sua vita e la sua casa i due gatti Artù e Ginevra ed il cane Parsifal.

     Attualmente risiede nella sua città natale. Dopo anni di lavoro fine a se stesso è giunto al desiderio di condividere i suoi lavori anche con un pubblico il più ampio possibile. Di qui l’idea del sito internet che spera vorrete esaminare con attenzione e con un occhio di favore.

Biography

     Giovanni Battista Sciello, also known as “Gio Sciello” or "Gio", was born in Genova on the 2nd February 1961 and during all his life he was interested in painting and in music (he is not a professional drummer and he has studied composition for a while).

     He went to primary and high school then graduated at University of his own town in the Faculty of Law.

     He worked in the public notary office trying to pass the notarial exam and in the meanwhile passed the exam for being a lawyer.

     He's characterized by a great curiosity and the desire of learning from the world and from the readings everything could help him to enrich himself.

     Being a little melancholic and pessimistic (or realist perhaps) at the same time he’s sure that everything in the world is going on in the best way and he is in his mind opened for believing in fantastic things too.

     He hasn't a pictorial art background and has always been guided by instinct and by the inspiration of the moment and most of all by the “aura” that makes up and pervades our being as the whole universe.

     He has got two adorable sons and an extremely reliable partner who gives him impulse for artistic creation.

     Also they fill his life and his house... the two cats "Artù" and "Ginevra" and the dog "Parsifal".

     Actually he is living in his own town.

     After working for years just to satisfy himself, for now he wants to share his work as far as possible with large amount of people. Here is the idea to create this website that he hopes you’ll examine with attention and goodwill.
